He showcases the distinct terroir of selected mature vineyards as viewed through the lens of these two varieties, utilising traditional winemaking techniques to showcase the natural beauty of the sites he works with in an unencumbered way.
The Blaufrankisch is grown on 35-year-old vines, fermented wild, and raised on lees for 16 months before being bottled by gravity.
It's a pure, vibrant rendition of this impossibly blue grape variety. Think blueberries, acai, violet notes and fresh-tilled earth. It's a wonderfully raw and expressive version of the variety. Brilliant drinking.
